Are you looking for a private cruise on a glacier lagoon for a family, friends or a group? If so, then this activity boat tour is ideal!

On our private boat tour the guide can tailor make the tour according to the guests wishes and interests. The tour is suitable for photographers, since the private boat tour allows more space on the boat for gear.

On the Private Boat Tour you will be taken all the way to the edge of the glacier while your guide explains the formation of the glacier, the surrounding landscape and the community of people that was formed around of it. Total duration of the tour is 75-90 minutes thereof 45 min. boat tour.

      Please check in at Fjallsárlón reception 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

      Please note that there is an approx. 10 minute walk from the reception area to the boat docking area. This is a scenic walk where you will have a great view over the beautiful Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon and Fjallsjökull glacier. The walk is on gravel so people that have difficulty walking might need assistance.

      What to bring

        For the private boat tour, we always recommend wearing warm clothes underneath, especially when we get closer to winter time. Our boats are open air Zodiac boats and you will be sailing on a glacier lagoon. It could get cold. You will receive a thick, warm, safety jacket that will keep you comfortable as well and a safety vest.

        Don´t forget your camera or your phone to get the perfect iceberg and glacier pictures!
